Hmmm... How do we describe this one? Our assignment: travel around the world to capture the hopes, aspirations and dreams of the people behind the International Space Station - from cosmonauts to designers to architects to janitors - in time for the upcoming launch in two months. Oh, and by the way, could you create a truly engaging web experience to boot? It's fall of 2000 and the Station - as NASA is fond of calling it - is nearly ready for the first crew to take up residence. How do we tell a story of such magnitude? Some of the interviews left the crew in tears - to imagine a world where we are using our skills to work together for a common good was truly inspiring. In the end, we felt that the best way to truly convey what we were feeling as the scope of the project unfolded before us was to go into the personal stories and find the shared threads. This project was truly a gift for all of us.
