I remember the moment quite well - it's a beautiful summer day after we've done a wonderful shoot for Adobe at FineTune, an upstart internet music service. The DP's face goes ashen as we're on the shuttle bus to Logan airport in Boston. Instinctively I know what this means and my mind is a mess, trying to conceive how I'm going to do the follow-on shoot by myself (with some support) in Ottawa with the Flash and AIR developer. No passport, no travel my friend. Oddly enough, we've been around the world together; he's a veteran at this stuff. Maybe it was a bad packing day. Maybe he was afraid of speaking French. Dunno. He missed out on good people, and some very good (and cold) beer...
