The State of Video Marketing Analytics with Dan Cowles from Adobe

August 16, 2016 | Wendell Willat | emotion Shorts, Industry Info, Video Storytelling

We’ve written here before that video marketing analytics is still in its infancy. Since emotion studios is a boutique Video Agency, it is very much in our best self-interest that video marketing analytics evolves quickly.

To that end, we are starting a new series of video interviews where we’re asking leaders in the creative and business world about their thoughts, feelings and predictions on measuring video effectiveness.

Dan Cowles is the Sr. Creative Director at Adobe Studio. While he was at the studio one day working on the Adobe Creative Residency project, we asked him to share his thoughts on the state of video measurement and KPIs. We love that he shared some deep insights into things like gut vs. data, the length of a story, what to measure, and of course what Dan wants out of video marketing analytics.

We hope you enjoy watching this as much as we enjoyed making it. Hopefully, we’ll be able to tell how much you enjoyed it via analytics. 🙂

If you’re looking for additional information about Dan and his philosophies on being a filmmaker and working at Adobe, here is a great interview from Fast Company too.
