We were asked to highlight the product launch of HP's Instant Ink - So, we gave the product to real people to try out and came away with this great story: Like every other college student, Truett knows she has to be prepared to print things at a moment's notice, all while staying on a strict budget. HP asked us to head to Austria to cover 2011 Discover. Our goal was to capture the feeling of attending this super-sized, content-rich, IT-orama. BTW, that's a tall order, since matching the feeling of an in-person experience is super difficult. But, with a little creativity, a small team, and some guerilla tactics we got in and found the essence of what it means to attend Discover: True connections, deep knowledge, and a sharing of goals and successes by folks who are looking to take their business to the next level.

Taking a fresh approach to Whiteboard-style storytelling, this piece for Adobe is intended to reach a new audience for Adobe's Revel software. The style of animation was used to be warm, fun, accessible, and appropriate for the story while helping people understand how easy and powerful it is to use Revel. We enjoyed these so much that we did a full series of motion graphics in this style. We feel like they are much more visually appealing than traditional Whiteboard productions too.
Adobe's Creative Cloud and Photoshop are pretty fantastic when simply working at your desk. Imagine getting out on Kumano Kodo Trail in Japan to use these tools in real time. Getting to shoot this with Goodby, Silverstein for Adobe was a one-of-a-kind experience with an amazing, but wet, crew.

We are often humbled by the people we meet and film. Even so, Michael Daube is in a class of his own. Our friend, DP and director David Driver had just finished "Way of Life", wayoflifefilm.com/ a seven year long documentary project with Michael when we were awarded the opportunity to do a series on extraordinary people for HP. Through Citta, the non-profit that Michael founded, he has started hospitals, women's centers and clinics all over the world. As creative people, we use Adobe software every single day. We love our tools and feel very lucky to have the amazing capabilities they enable. In that context, it was really wonderful to have the opportunity to experience the birth of Adobe's new first ever hardware products and participate in their epic rollout. Our client, dear friend and collaborator on this was Dan Cowles from Adobe. Dan really drove the vision and imagery on this and it was a blast to help him bring it to life.
Many of our friends and families at emotion are challenged with taking care of our aging parents and helping them to have independence and good quality of life. This is part of a project with the longterm goal of helping people who are struggling, have limited means and very few places to turn for help. Deb and her mom Lib graciously let us into their lives and we are grateful to them and their family for sharing their experiences with us.
Scribe Labs is developing a sensor for runners to wear that analyzes their stride and footfalls to determine the best shoes for stability and injury reduction, as well as to dramatically improve their running performance. We are frequently working to launch groundbreaking new products like Run Scribe, and get to see them develop and evolve over time. Tom Gooden from Good Dog Design reached out to us to produce this video that they had art directed and conceived. It turned out to be a great collaboration and they were wonderful to work with. This Kickstarter video is a big part of the product launch and we were excited to produce it with Scribe and Good Dog Design.

Dr. Larry Rand, and his colleague Dr. Michael Harrison are true heroes of ours. Over the years they've dedicated their lives to turning around devestating birth defects using surgery on fetuses BEFORE they are born! UCSF wanted to create a series of videos that would be shown to parents after they've recieved a diagnosis for their child, to explain the condition in as accurate, thoughtful and direct manner possible. The videos are meant to be watched over and over, shared with families and friends to take the mystery out of the situation and make it more clear. Additionally, they are designed to be translated into multiple languages, increasing their usefulness to a broad audience. This is the first of the series and our entire staff were very proud to be helping such amazing work.
